As the opening event of the Budapest Design Week, the Hungarian Design Awards and the Design Management Award were presented in Budapest on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As in previous years, the Hungarian Design Awards were presented for the 42nd time by the Hungarian Design Council, financed by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO). The Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM), in cooperation with the Hungarian Design Council, announced the most prestigious Hungarian design award in March.
\nThe winners of this year's award were announced by textile designer Hedvig Harmati, head of the doctoral school of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, chairman of the jury. As the expert pointed out, a design that looks for connections, uses interdisciplinary opportunities in active value creation and does not forget about user aspects is an indispensable condition for the success of innovation.
\nThe Teq Lite multifunctional gaming device designed by G\u00e1bor Bors\u00e1ny, Gy\u00f6rgy Gatty\u00e1n and D\u00e9nes Viktor Husz\u00e1r, the comfortable and ergonomic Tilt chair designed by D\u00e1niel Lakos, and the Bay Audio Counterpoint 2.0 custom-made loudspeaker designed by Zolt\u00e1n Bay received recognition in the product category.
\nWith the shared special prize of the State Secretary for Culture of the Ministry of Human Capacities (Emmi), the CECC prize was awarded for 2021 for the joint work of Andr\u00e1s Szilos and Bogl\u00e1rka Imrei, while the special prize of the HIPO was awarded to M\u00e1rton Bartos and Tam\u00e1s Liszkai for the Voxeltek Flow digital dental system.
\nThe winner of the design category was the Adamo doll swing, created by combining the traditional swing and cradle, the joint work of Andr\u00e1s Oravecz and \u00c1d\u00e1m N\u00e9meth, while the special prize was awarded to Zsuzsanna Horv\u00e1th Nornir's wall clock.
\nThe visual communication category was won by the work of Salt Communications Kft., the corporate identity development of Corvinus University of Budapest, created by L\u0151rinc Balogh, Botond Burrus, Istv\u00e1n Nagy and M\u00e1t\u00e9 Serflek. The special prize shared by Emmi's Secretary of State for Culture was awarded to the volume entitled Franciaudvaros B\u00e9rh\u00e1zs in Budapest, created in cooperation with Melinda M\u00e1rtonffy author, Anna B\u00e1rdy graphic designer and F\u00fcl\u00f6p Schmaal photographer.
\nThis year's winner of the student category is B\u00e1lint Szalai, whose interior object group entitled Home bears the characteristics of artisanal tradition in addition to formal playfulness. The special prize of the Ministry of Higher Education, Innovation and Vocational Education was awarded to the alternative dollhouse of Adrienn Kir\u00e1ly.
\nThe Design Management Award, founded by the Hungarian Design Council, has recognised organisations for more than 10 years that strive for continuous innovation and outstanding quality in the formulation of their strategy, in their operational operation, in the development of their products and services, using the tools of design management, also bearing in mind the aspects of social responsibility and sustainability.
\nOrganisations with an excellent design management approach were selected by a professional jury of nine people.
\nAttila Simon, CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. and chairman of the jury of the Design Management Award recalled: The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the importance of the integrated application of design and to present its results to the professional public, economic operators and all interested parties.
\nAs announced, this year's Design Management Award was awarded to the Mikl\u00f3s Radn\u00f3ti Theatre. The theatre renewed its visual identity in 2016, laying the foundations of a radically different communication strategy for the new leadership of the institution at that time. The development, which has been carried out consistently and consciously ever since, now covers all the communication platforms of the theatre.
\nThis year, Gy\u00f6rgytea Kft. received the special prize of the HIPO Intellectual Property Diagnosis, which spreads the culture of traditional, usually not immediately effective herbs, with a strong emphasis on design approach. Artmagazin was awarded with a certificate of appreciation as a creative example of design management, as well as the BuildEXT design office for building information modelling and the public sports grounds of Hard Body Hang suitable for personal weight training.
\nThe exhibition presenting the works of the prize-winners and the most outstanding applicants awaits visitors from Friday to October 17 at the central venue of Budapest Design Week, the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Budapest event centre.<\/p>\n
