The European Design Interior Design Special Prize was awarded to the designers of the \u00c1rt\u00e9r Architectural Studio for the renovation of the Castle Gate in Szolnok.<\/p>\n
The B\u00e1n\u00e1ti + Hartvig Architects\u2019 Office building and Hanna Kopacz\u2019s design won this year\u2019s Media Architecture Award, the organisers told MTI on Sunday.
\nThe Architect Forum recognized the most outstanding works of this year for the 17th time as part of the Media Architecture Award gala at the Ur\u00e1nia National Film Theatre on Saturday evening.
\nThe specialty of the professional event is that its judging takes place in front of the general public. This year, 79 designs, 63 buildings and 20 built environmental works were nominated by the designers, of which two family houses, a kindergarten, a gymnasium and an office competed for the award for the best building of the year.
\nThe prize for the best building was awarded to the team of B\u00e1n\u00e1ti + Hartvig Architects for their own office building by a jury composed of representatives of leading Hungarian media outlets and prominent experts of the profession. The intention of the managers of the office was to create their new headquarters by transforming an existing building. They did not want to build a new building so as not to burden the environment with the construction, but instead sought a site that could be recycled as much as possible and the existing elements could be built in, following the approach of circular architecture. In addition to the Best Building Award, the studio also won the Audience Award for Best Presentation from the Oratori Nativity Rhetoric School.
\nAmong the plans, the jury is Hanna Kopacz, the Guardian. Public space development and type house awarded the best prize for his work in a Gypsy colony. Newly graduated from MOME Institute of Architecture in his master's work (consultants: Bal\u00e1zs Mari\u00e1n, Zs\u00f3fia Z\u00e9t\u00e9nyi) was looking for simple, practical and realistic solutions on what kind of architectural, urbanistic and landscape architecture tools can contribute to raising the standard of living of a Transylvanian gypsy settlement.
\nAt the gala evening, the creators presented their own projects, which were evaluated by representatives of the media and the profession. In addition to the jury, the audience was also able to share their views in a preliminary online vote.
\nBased on the combined votes of Telex and the Architects' Forum, the public was pleased with the renovation of the Ligeti Studio Villa, which was designed by the monostudio.
\nThe prize for the design that received the most votes from the public was awarded to BIVAK for its work submitted for the Budapest Student Town \u2013 Nagyv\u00e1s\u00e1rtelep and its surroundings architectural design competition.
\nB\u00e1lint Kelemen (K\u00d6ZTI Zrt.) and Zita N\u00e9meth (N\u00d6F) won the public award for the category of built environment. The rehabilitation of the ruins of Sz\u00f6gliget-Sz\u00e1dv\u00e1r was carried out within the framework of the National Castle Programme and the National Castle Programme, coordinated by N\u00d6F National Heritage Development Nonprofit Ltd.
\nThe Perika Prize was awarded to Ern\u0151 Rubik. The professional recognition held in memory of Erika Katalina P\u00e1sztor, co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Architecture Forum, who died three years ago, is intended to honour the achievements of excellences who, in addition to architecture, innovatively create outstanding, socially impacting value in several scientific or artistic fields.
\nThe Austrotherm Special Prize for Energy Efficiency was awarded to the Luk\u00e1cs Manufacture team for the design of Panorama cabins, while the Zolt\u00e1n Kov\u00e1cs Memorial Prize was awarded to Lajta-Duna Construction and Waterproofing Ltd.

\nGr\u00e1nit P\u00f3lus presented the Professional Grand Prix of the Architect Forum to Tibor Tat\u00e1r, CEO of Futureal Development Zrt. The Special Prize for Large Projects was awarded to \u00c1kos Cs\u00e9csei, architect of DVM Group, for the renovation of the Erzs\u00e9bet camp in Z\u00e1nka. The Special Prize of the Solar Powered Real Estate Developments was awarded to Ildik\u00f3 Bod\u00f3czi, owner of Hars\u00e1nyi Winery and Jr. The architect Zolt\u00e1n Farkas took over from Optimum Solar.
\nEvery year, the Architect Forum awards a master to whom many people look up as educators and creators, to whom many owe gratitude for their professional knowledge and help. This year Professor Tam\u00e1s Meggyesi, emeritus, professor of the Department of Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and member of the Sz\u00e9chenyi Academy of Arts was recognized for his work.
