Many of you have probably heard of the world-famous Meixner method for diagnosing and correcting dyslexia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The prevention and reeducational therapy of learning disorders is related to Ildik\u00f3 Meixner, Hungarian special education teacher.<\/p>\n

The essence of the method is that the lack of reading skills and the learning of reading are not separated from the development of speech, thereby helping the child to connect letters and sounds. Reading teaching is synthetic, with easy-to-mistake letters being taught at great intervals of time, with attention being paid to the development of rhythm, spatial orientation and language skills. If the child is struggling with secondary symptoms, then all occupations begin with increasing self-confidence. The teaching of reading according to the Meixner method proceeds in small steps, the method initially teaches letters, then forms a syllable of two letters, followed by an increase in the length of syllables and practice in word structures. Thus, the learning child reaches the reading of simple sentences, then the practicing and interpreting of expanded and finally complex sentences. (source, Wikipedia)<\/p>\n

Last Saturday, April 16th, I led a porcelain casting workshop at the Art Primary School of the Meixner Foundation in R\u00e1kospalota, which was a huge experience, I hope for the participants as well.<\/p>\n

The event, to which I was invited as a guest lecturer (as a Meixner-bar only by name), was part of a series of events organised on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Meixner Foundation under the title \u2018Fest a district\u2019.<\/p>\n

The school (with a very good atmosphere and spirit, creative and truly community, so it's all superlative) opened its doors to the district (and, of course, to those arriving from anywhere), and besides other programs, interested children and adults could take part in interesting handicraft workshops.<\/p>\n

In addition to the porcelain casting, they could, for example, take part in the painting of the giant picture, which will serve as a background for the similar \u2018Dance in the District\u2019 event to be held soon.<\/p>\n
