Brad Pitt, a 58-year-old American actor who won two Oscars and three Golden Globes, presented his sculptures for the first time at an exhibition in Finland, The Guardian wrote on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The actor, along with Australian musician Nick Cave and British sculptor Thomas Houseago, appeared this weekend in Tampere, the third largest city in the northern state, to unveil his first public art exhibition at the Sara Hild\u00e9n Art Museum in Finland.
\nPitt\u2019s sculptures and Cave\u2019s ceramic series will be shown to the public as part of an exhibition by British artist Thomas Houseago, the institution said.
\n\u201cFor Nick and me, this is a new world where we are entering for the first time. It just feels good\", Pitt told Finnish state television Yle at the opening ceremony. Nine of his works are on display at the exhibition, including a cast of \u2018shooting\u2019 plaster cast and a series of house-shaped silicone sculptures shot through with bullets of different calibers.
\nAt the opening, Pitt said that it was a self-reflection for sculpture. \u201cIt is about where I made mistakes in my relationships, where I am complicit\u201d, he said, adding that the works were created by the \u2018radical self-inventory\u2019, \u2018to be rudely honest with myself and to take stock of those I may have offended, the moments I simply spoiled\u2019.
\nThe actor began to work in ceramics after his divorce from Angelina Jolie: In 2017, he spent up to 15 hours a day in Houseago's Los Angeles studio. GQ, an American monthly for men, said in August that it did not see it as an art, but as a \"private number, a very quiet, very tangible sport\".
\nPitt's appearance was unexpected for the Finns, as his participation had not been announced in advance. Chief curator Sarianne Soikkonen described the emergence of the star as \u2018exciting and wonderful\u2019 to the French news agency Agence France-Presse. He added that due to the pandemic and the events in Houseago's life, the artist decided to include his friends in his first exhibition in Finland.
\nNick Cave, an Australian rock musician, songwriter, and singer, studied painting at the Caulfield Institute of Technology Art and Design in Melbourne before studying music. The exhibition features seventeen hand-painted ceramic figures depicting \u2018the life of the devil in 17 stations\u2019, referring to his interest in the Victorian Staffordshire Flatback figures, of which he is a collector.<\/p>\n
