Art and Antique art fair between 2 and 5 March at the B\u00e1lna Budapest Event Center.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The history of the exhibition goes back to 1994, when the Museum of Ethnography hosted the event under the name of Antique Interior, and from 1996 the Kunsthalle hosted the event annually. Since 2019, the fair has been organised under the name Art and Antique, where contemporary art is already present alongside classical artworks \u2013 recalls the announcement sent by the organisers to MTI on Friday.<br \/>\nThis year's exhibitors will highlight the contemporary material of the Vir\u00e1g Judit Gallery, including the three large-scale oil paintings of Istv\u00e1n N\u00e1dler's 1996 series Untitled, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Lakner's 1964 surnaturalist work Horn and Cabbage, Endre Rozsda's Kaleidoscopic Composition, Tam\u00e1s Konok's 1976 Tension lin\u00e9aire, Ilona Keser\u00fc's silkscreen prints from the 1970s, and the works of Tam\u00e1s Hencze, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Feh\u00e9r and Imre Bak.<br \/>\nThe MissionArt Gallery exhibits the works of Imre Bak, \u00c1kos B\u00e1nki, \u00c1gnes Verebics, Andr\u00e1s Wahorn and the works of Endre B\u00e1lint, Gyula Derkovits, B\u00e9la Kondor and Victor Vasarely.<br \/>\nThe Ani Moln\u00e1r Gallery presents a selection that represents both geometric and lyrical abstraction, as well as conceptual works presenting contemporary social and artistic issues. Their exhibiting artists include Emese Bencz\u00far, Bal\u00e1zs Csizik, Andr\u00e1s Ernszt, Erika F\u00e1bi\u00e1n, Istv\u00e1n Ha\u00e1sz and Tam\u00e1s Konok.<br \/>\nThe Space Contemporary Art Gallery presents the works of Gabriella Hajnal tapestry artist, Istv\u00e1n Csorba-Simon, Csaba F\u00fcrjesi, L\u00f3czi Judit Horv\u00e1th, Botond Andr\u00e1s Kiss and L\u00f3r\u00e1nt Zuzu M\u00e9hes artists, Ter\u00e9zia Hajz\u00f3, M\u00e1rta Kiss and Kata Kolesz\u00e1r painters, and Anik\u00f3 Robitz photographer as the youngest gallery of Budapest.<br \/>\nThe TOBE Gallery focuses on the ibero-American and Hungarian artists of contemporary photography and collage art, and in our TOBE Project several media of contemporary art are present. The exhibition will feature works by Andr\u00e1s G\u00e1l, Jos\u00e9 Luis \u2018Chuchi\u2019 S\u00e1nchez, Gustavo Blanco-Uribe, Almudena Romero, Jean-Francois Lepage and young Hungarian photographers.<br \/>\nThe program of Vintage Gallery focuses on the presentation of modernist artists (Andr\u00e9 Kert\u00e9sz, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Moholy-Nagy), neo-avant-garde and conceptual art (G\u00e1bor Attalai, Tibor Hajas, D\u00f3ra Maurer) and contemporary artists (G\u00e1bor \u0150sz, Dezs\u0151 Szab\u00f3, Kamilla Sz\u00edj).<br \/>\nWOP Gallery Budapest considers the presentation and sale of Hungarian and international graphic materials to be its top priority; Ai Wei Wei, Imre Bak, J\u00e1nos Faj\u00f3, Victor Vasarely and D\u00f3ra Maurer can also be bought at the fair.<br \/>\nAntiquities also play an important role in Art and Antique: Artcore Antik &amp; Design art deco, bauhaus, midcentury, modern and contemporary design furniture, while B\u00c1V ART Auction House and Gallery awaits visitors with jewellery and works of art.<br \/>\nThe Bernabo art-furniture collection contains mostly Hungarian and French art deco furniture, the Budapest Poster Gallery presents the works of Lajos Kass\u00e1k and Gy\u00f6rgy Konecsni among others as a gallery dealing with old posters and poster designs.<br \/>\nThe fair will be complemented by a charity online auction with offers from the exhibiting galleries: bidding on the Axioart platform is open until 5 March at the auction announced for the benefit of the Public Benefit Foundation for Ballet Students of the Opera House.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Almost forty contemporary and classical galleries, auction houses and art dealers will take part in the 5th edition of the exhibition.
