The 20th Hungarian Design and Design Management Awards, which opened on Thursday, were handed over at a ceremony. Budapest Design Week at the Museum of Ethnography.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe support this type of awards and events because they raise awareness of the role of design among innovators, designers and the general public. Budapest Design Week has reached an average of 70,000 visitors in recent years, which is quite amazing\", said L\u00e1szl\u00f3 B\u00f3dis, Deputy State Secretary for Innovation at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation.
\nHe pointed out that a design-leading business showed a 56% higher profit-making potential over a five-year time horizon than those who didn't pay attention to it. \u201cAt company level, leaders have recognised that design needs to be addressed. In the Hungarian economy, the added value of the creative industry and design is 9.3%\u2019.
\nG\u00e1bor Veres, Deputy Director General of the Museum of Ethnography emphasized in his welcome speech that design has a great impact on people's lives, and actors far from each other can find contact through it. \u2018The new identity of the Museum of Ethnography and the reinterpretation of the objects on its exhibitions are very much connected to the festival\u2019.
\nIn addition to recalling the past of the exhibition presenting the past twenty years, it is very important to create an image of the diverse future of design at the festival. He expressed his pleasure that the Museum of Ethnography, chosen as the best public building in the world, is also prominently present in the Hungarian pavilion of the Venice Biennale this year, as it is based on contemporary ornaments transcriptions appearing on the metal grille of the fa\u00e7ade of the museum building.
\nZsuzsa Szabados, Vice-President of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office highlighted in her opening speech that the Hungarian Design Council, the organizer of the Budapest Design Week awards, has been part of the NRDI Office since September. \u201cBeauty, design, design are part of our everyday lives, our objects will live with design and design, they will give us a message and make our everyday lives more beautiful\u201d he said.
\nP\u00e9ter L\u00e1body, Vice-President of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office emphasized: It is a pleasure to see that the Hungarian design and design community is pro-active to the changes related to the advent of artificial intelligence.
\nThe Hungarian Design Award was presented for the 44th time this year in the product, design, visual communication and student categories.
\nSeveral special prizes were awarded at the ceremony, including the State Secretary for Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation: This was given to the experimental study volume of the Ferry, 21st Laboratory, which was designed by D\u00f3ra Balla.
\n\u2018The volume is also very special in its publication: it explores people\u2019s creativity and self-improvement through various studies. He deserves this award\" - said M\u00e1t\u00e9 Vincze, Deputy State Secretary for Public Collections and Cultural Development of the Ministry of Human Capacities to MTI. Every detail of the printing work of the experimental volume is well thought out, and in its content function the varied typographical layout system creatively forms the message.
\nThe opening exhibition of the festival presents the iconic Hungarian design creations of the past twenty years. In the framework of the Budapest Design Week festival, another exhibition presents the awards of the Hungarian Design Award and Design Management Award, and it will be on view until 15 October in the Museum of Ethnography.<\/p>\n\n \n
