Ecce Home dives into Blickfang with a splash

Ripple collections

Teaming up with leading contemporary designer Etelka Meixner, Ecce Home is delighted to exhibit a showcase of new work. Blickfang provides the perfect setting for her exquisite and inspirational designs. Etelka’s strong appreciation of the craftsmanship and detail of every Ecce piece is clearly portrayed in all her work. Whilst drawing on the archives, and maintaining Ecce Home’s inherent sense of tradition, she brings a clean, fresh and contemporary touch to the collection.

The naturally complex, yet intrinsically calming, presence of water is explored in the hand-made Ripple collection of bowls and jewelry. Etelka is intrigued by the forever morphing forms created by flowing water and the concentric ripples conceived by falling droplets. The charm and simplicity of nature is captured in this concise collection, each porcelain piece is hand-made, and charmingly slightly different, allowing the individual signature of each hand to shine forth. The malleability of porcelain offers the ideal medium to represent the fluidity of water, and together with a hand-painted transparent blue glaze a watery vision is sensitively created.
