The new building of the Museum of Ethnography won the award of the best public building in the world

After the Best Public Building in Europe award, the building of the new Ethnographic Museum under the Liget Budapest Project won the Best Public Building in the World award.

The award was presented to Benedek Gyorgyevics, CEO of Városliget Zrt., responsible for the implementation of the Liget Budapest Project, at the gala of the International Property Awards, one of the world's most prestigious international competitions.
In the same competition, the building of the Museum of Ethnography was previously awarded the prize of the best public building in Europe, and thus became one of the winners of the prize for the best in the world.
After receiving the award, Benedek Gyorgyevics stressed: the recognition represents a historic victory for Hungary, especially considering that a public investment was chosen as the best in the world by a jury of 80 international experts.
According to the CEO, the award draws international attention not only to the excellent performance of Hungarian architecture, but also to Hungarian innovation and Hungarian culture.
For the first time in a quarter-century history of the International Property Awards, a Hungarian building is ranked the best in the world in its category. Designed by Napur Architect, the new building of the Museum of Ethnography proved to be one of the best public buildings in Europe among the winning projects at national level, and as the continent’s best, it won the ‘World’s Best’ award among the category winners from 10 regions of the world.
Benedek Gyorgevics stressed: within the framework of the Liget Budapest Project, one of Europe's oldest public parks will be renovated, while unique cultural institutions will be created, with architectural solutions that are outstanding in the world, as evidenced by the award now received by the Museum of Ethnography under construction.
According to the CEO of Városliget Zrt., the award is a huge recognition for the Hungarian architecture and real estate development society, as they have earned the rank of being listed at the top of the world. He added: The award demonstrates that Hungarian companies, which play a key role in promoting the quality of real estate development and the progressive development of architectural culture, are able to respond quickly to individual needs and today's processes, and also perform outstandingly in the field of value preservation.
