The Budapest Design Week was held, the Hungarian Design and Design Management Awards were handed over, the exhibition of the winner and the selected entries was opened in the House of Traditions. Join us and let's take a look at the awards!
We are writing a jubilee year, as the Hungarian Design Award is 40 years old, which is intended to recognise innovative and outstanding projects of Hungarian design. In addition to the best product, design, visual communication and student categories, several special awards were also awarded. For the past 10 years, the Design Management Award has recognised organizational strategies that adapt the design management toolkit. The free exhibition of the most outstanding entries can be viewed until 19 October at the House of Traditions In the exhibition hall of László Maácz.

Teqball SMART
The Teqball SMART table is a folding mobile sports device that invites the user to a special ball game, the latest version of the Teqball ONE. In addition to teqball, the new football-based sport is possible teqis, teqpong, qatch and teqvoly both to play. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, UV-resistant and waterproof.
Frigate chair family
The Plydesign Ltd. In cooperation with designer András Kerékgyártó, he created the latest piece of his furniture collection. The chair is armrestless, stackable and innovative in terms of production technology, as the previous moulded technology was partly replaced by 3D-funeral technology, creating competitive, comfortable furniture that can be manufactured in large numbers.
Minerva Porcelain Dinnerware Collection
The collection designed by Erika Sütő and Ferenc Golovics for Hollóházi Porcelain Factory Ltd. serves modern customer needs. It is classic and modern at the same time, as it respects the traditions of the porcelain factory, yet it puts it on a new horizon, and during its design, it was adapted to the expectations of today's times. Without the need for completeness, we can see, for example, pieces that can be cleaned in a dishwasher, can be varied, and require little space.
Geometric wallpapers
The Geometric wallpapers created by Éva Valicsek and Ildikó are now in production after winning the international tender of the Dutch wallpaper manufacturer NLXL. The designer-graphic brothers developed their unique geometric pattern system during five years of development. The wallpapers they designed are now available in many parts of the world and stand their ground on the international stage.

Hoito, the smart formula maker
X-Plast engineers designed Hoit to facilitate the preparation of formula and powder-based drinks, using environmentally friendly materials and developing a recovery system for the formula container. Thanks to the closed system solution, only the bottle needs to be disinfected and cleaned after use. Hoit is complemented by an app that allows multiple child profiles to be stored and controlled remotely while producing high-quality formula thanks to innovative blending technology.

Silence inside – the Hungarian pavilion of the Leipzig Book Fair
The Hungarian pavilion of the Leipzig Book Fair bears witness to a transdisciplinary way of thinking, with the creators focusing on the invisible sign, the spácium, i.e. the space. Designed by Lead 82, the book stand invites you to a real immersion, to discover the inner silence.

Redesign of anyScan medical product line
Gergő Csicsi, student of the University of Sopron. His work is the outstanding result of the cooperation between Mediso Kft, the university and the student. The rethinking of Mediso Kft.'s product was necessary due to the changing user needs and the continuous technological development.
Special prizes
Kariyon font
A number of special awards were presented at the awards ceremony. The Kariyon font was awarded a special prize by the State Secretariat for Culture of the Ministry of Human Capacities. The Kariyon font praises Norbert Prell's work, which works well online and in printed form.
Picta electronics development package
The special prize of the State Secretariat for Education of the Ministry of Human Capacities was awarded to Zsófia Mező's student work, Picta's electronics development package, which also validates the aspects of design, technology, science and playful learning.
Kermann industrial LED range
The industrial LED product line of Kermann Technological Development and Consulting Ltd. is clean, yet striking, easily recognizable, and can be integrated into all environments. The designers Zsolt Pyka and Kristóf Járfás The lamp family received the special prize of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office's intellectual property diagnosis service.
NVSBLE Glasses Collection
A pair of glasses that emphasizes the character of the wearer, yet remains invisible at some level, has almost imperceptible marks on the personality? The NVSBLE spectacle collection consists of 10 striking unisex pieces and this year Tipton Eyeworks' spectacle frame received one of the special awards of the Hungarian Design Council.
Design Management Award
This year the Varga-Flexo Kft. He won the Design Management Award. The company has been operating for more than 25 years and is at the forefront of the contemporary printing industry. The special prize of Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. was awarded to Multifelt Factory Ltd., who deal with wool felt processing in Kőszeg. Four more candidates were awarded a certificate of recognition by the jury: Pataki Tiles Kft., Maform Kft., TEQBALL Kft., Society of Carpet Designers Association.
In addition to the winners, outstanding entries were invited to the exhibition: A collection of jewellery, educational aids, textiles and even office headphones can be seen by the general public.
