The Klasszis TopDesign international hospitality and hotel industry design competition will be announced again this year

Tourism Online announces again this year the Klasszis TopDesign Hungary 2026 international competition, which awards the most outstanding works of the hotel industry, hospitality and interior design, which evaluates the entire design spectrum of the world of hospitality, from accommodation and catering establishments to interiors, furniture and accessories to concepts that have not yet been realized.

According to the specialist portal, the deadline for the application of the competition is 30 September 2026, and the deadline for the submission of the application documents is 15 October 2026. The international competition is open to operators of hotels, guesthouses and other accommodations, restaurants, bistros, cafes, confectioneries and other restaurants, interior designers, architects and interior designers, design studios and creatives, as well as all professional players who have created a unique, innovative or inspiring solution in the Horeca sector.

This year, the professional jury renewed the application categories: Among the new categories, the Unconventional Accommodation of the Year and the Unconventional Restaurant of the Year will feature prominently in the search for projects that dare to deviate from the usual, show new directions and create a real guest experience. Another novelty is the stand-alone category of wine labels, which rewards visual communication and design.

For the first time in the history of Klasszis TopDesign, international special awards are also presented: cross-border accommodation and catering establishments in the Central and Eastern European region can also compete in two categories. The popular categories of previous years will be preserved and can be renamed with special interiors, architectural and interior design solutions, design concepts, furniture, lighting, unique accessories, as well as plans that have not yet been implemented.
