Design Terminal awaits applications for its autumn mentoring program

Design Terminal is waiting for the applications of start-ups offering innovative solutions to societal challenges for its autumn mentoring program. 

According to the announcement of the Design Terminal innovation agency sent to MTI on Friday, the most innovative Hungarian and international startups are expected to apply for the autumn semester of the mentoring program by 4 August.
In the program startups can develop their business model, product or service with the help of a mentor team of Hungarian and international professionals. Teams are provided with a community office, can receive scholarships, and can build relationships with domestic and foreign investors, as well as with large companies such as BlackRock and Knorr-Bremse. The founder of the startup, women entrepreneurs, mothers with young children and mothers with young children, will receive an extra scholarship, they wrote.
174 startups from 30 countries applied for the agency's now-closed spring semester, ten of them participating in the mentoring program.
Swedish app developer Happy at work, which measures job satisfaction and stress levels, won the €150,000 investment offer of the Brain Bar Blastoff startup competition during the program. During the program, the Scandinavian startup expanded its team with new employees and opened an office in Budapest.
During the programme period, the E-med4All team, working on a cardiovascular telediagnostic screening system, received a half-million euro investment from a Dutch investor group.
At the closing event of the spring semester on 4 July, ViddL, which renewed the delivery of parcels within the city, won an audience award. The team is currently in talks with one of Hungary’s largest online stores and has managed to achieve a 30% increase in the number of parcels delivered per day, they said.
